Client was charged with Criminal Mischief, Extortion and Giving False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer. Client’s home was in foreclosure and recently sold with Client still living in the home. Angry over the situation and the reality of having to move, Client allegedly trashed the home doing extensive damage to the interior. Client was facing many years in Prison. After many months of litigation and negotiation, we successfully enrolled Client in a diversion program. Client made restitution for damages incurred and performed minimal community service, and then all charges were Dismissed.

Successfully negotiated the client’s entry into a diversion program which ultimately resulted in the charges being dropped. The case was handled in Broward County at the Hollywood Courthouse before the Judge Arlene Backman.
